Golang Developer with strong API's/microservices, and SQL

Onsite 3 days per week in Bothell, WA or Atlanta, GA

6 Month Contract w/ Extensions

Interview: 1 and done, 30 minutes via Teams

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Golang Developer to join our development team to write extensions to open base Golang based development sites. This team needs extra support to enable new business use cases in terms of API gateways. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on building scalable and efficient applications using Go.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Golang.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing and continuous integration.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Golang Developer in most recent role. 3+ years' experience
  • Strong knowledge of Go programming language and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
  • Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS and Azure).
  • Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
