Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services, from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement. Our site reliability engineering (SRE) team’s mission is to provide expert engineering services in cloud automation and reliability engineering to all our Vodafone Business products and solutions hosted on our dedicated platforms. We are passionate about our services running with maximum uptime and minimum latency so that our business customers have the best experience when using our services.

What you bring:

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

• 
  BA/BS degree in Computer Science or other science field or equivalent work experience.
• Self-driven with the ability to plan and summarize well.
• A strong sense of responsibility and ownership, a proactive spirit, and an ability to comprehensively analyse and solve problems.
• Experienced with technical leadership and coaching other team members.
• Experience developing software, you are adaptable to different programming languages and frameworks if required.
• Working in agile teams or SRE teams is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Experience designing, engineering and/or operating large-scale cloud-computing platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience in at least one scripting language: Preferably Python and/or Golang.
• Experience designing & implementing automation tools and Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Terragrunt).
• Understanding of Software Engineering principles and patterns in the cloud-native ecosystem.
• Experience working with Linux systems.
• Foundation in TCP/IP and layer 3 protocols.
• Experience with modern infrastructure services such as Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of SLI/SLO/SLAs, monitoring and alerting best practices. Experience in monitoring tools and providing critical telemetry is a plus.
• Incident management experience is a plus.
• Experience or a desire to work with DevOps CI/CD toolchain (e.g. GitLab) is a plus.
• Fluent English.
