Ethos is an up-leveling and consolidation of the many practices of infrastructure and software development at Adobe. Across the industry, there is a rapid convergence on the use of software containers to deliver web services. Standardising on these containers allows for the dramatic advancement of common tools to support them. Position Summary
The development engineer will be part of a team working on development of Adobe's Cloud Technology group. He/She will be responsible for a variety of architectural, technical, operational, and consultation activities. It is critically important to the company that the solutions offer the highest levels of reliability, uptime, performance and scale.. He/She is expected to be hands-on problem solver and well conversant in analysing, architecting and implementing python/ruby/Java/Golang based world class high quality software. Prior experience on Kubernetes, docker container workflows, Cloud platforms, AWS, Azure and/or Windows would be a plus.
Responsibilities
This is an individual contributor position.
Hands on product/solution development knowledge are a must.
The position involves conceptualization of a product, design, development, debugging of application software, effort estimation and risk analysis of a project.
The incumbent will implement new features; provide fixes / workarounds to bugs/ problems and also in current / future products.
He should be competent to provide quick solutions to problems and taking a product /component through the entire life-cycle, improve the space - time performance, and improve on usability / reliability.
Requirements
B.Tech / M.Tech degree in Computer Science from a premiere institute.
Should have 5 - 8 years of experience in software development.
Should have excellent computer science fundamentals and a good understanding of architecture, design and performance.
Should have good knowledge of product security domain
Proficient in Java/Python/Golang, data structure and algorithm.
Should be hands-on in writing code that is reliable, maintainable, secure, performance optimized, multi-platform and world-ready
Ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills.
Good understanding of object oriented design and knowledge of product life cycles and associated issues.
Technical depth in operating systems, computer architecture and OS internals.
Technical depth in Cloud Computing, Cloud Platforms and Services architecture and design
Good To Have
Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine
Experience with contribution to Kubernetes CNCF projects like Argo family, ChaosMesh etc.
Experience with docker container workflows and windows
