To achieve this vision, we’re looking for Backend Engineers (Golang) who are willing to join our Offer team in a rapidly growing startup in Amsterdam.

FLYR is building a new product offering to distribute our ML-powered price points in real-time to airline price consumers. FLYR’s new product ensures airlines are selling their products at the FLYR Cirrus optimal price, driving maximum revenue uplift on their ticket sales.

Our new Offer product will combine flight and ancillary services into personalized offers for travelers and enable the distribution of offers through all channels.

What will your destination look like at FLYR?

    • You will ship the latest new features for the Cirrus platform, in order to disrupt the airline industry's pricing problems.
    • You will develop low latency flight shopping solutions in Golang (Gin, Vegeta, Logrus, Viper), PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Docker and Kubernetes and more
    • You will be part of self-organizing Scrum teams composed of Technical Product Owners, frontend/backend application developers and QA automation engineers.
    • You will collaborate with Technical Product Owners to design and deliver complex application features and end-user workflows

What can you bring on this trip?

    • Degree and/or advanced domain expertise and successful industry experience in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Economics, or Operation Research
    • Multiple years of relevant work experience and deep knowledge of software design principles and patterns
    • Deep knowledge of a popular object-oriented or functional programming language, preferably Golang
    • Extensive experience with REST API
    • Strong knowledge of SQL
    • Fluent with unit testing and debugging techniques
    • Experience with version control systems.
    • Independence, pragmatic approach, attention to detail, Strong communication skills
    • Good written and oral communication skills in English

Desirable skills

    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
    • Experience with CI/CD design and development
    • Experience with optimizing application performance and solving scalability issues
    • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
    • Airlines domain knowledge
    • Knowledge of JavaScript (EcmaScript 6) and React framework
    • Knowledge of web development (HTML/CSS)
