- Work on core features and functionality of the Vault server
- Work directly with product management and design to ensure we're designing solutions for our end users
- Help contribute to the HashiCorp community by providing code review, mentorship, and support to HashiCorp employees, community members and partners
- Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing and release
- Program mostly in Golang, learning from and contributing to a team committed to continually improving their skills
- You have experience in a programming language like Go, Java, or Python
- You've maintained or improved test and release pipelines
- You have an interest in software performance testing and performance improvements
- You have experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration systems
- You've participated in an OSS community
- You have some expertise in one or more of the major public clouds
- You're familiar with infrastructure management concepts
- You have a working understanding of commonly-used security technologies
- You have prior Vault experience as a user, contributor, or otherwise

About the Role
We are looking for a junior engineer to join the Vault Core team and focus on the tools and features that enhance integration with third-party services and partners. You will help design, prototype, and implement features to interface with a variety of external systems, and enhance the extensibility support within Vault.
This person will be a part of the Vault engineering team at HashiCorp, working to provide a fantastic and broadly used secrets tool for businesses and individuals handling all sizes and types of infrastructure.
