About The Role:

We work to empower today's restaurants using SkipTheDishes by providing them with a fast, reliable and custom integration experience. We work closely with the world's largest Point of Sales(POS) providers in order to streamline the food ordering experience for both the customer, and the restaurant.

We leverage an event-driven, microservice based architecture comprised of many individual services that handle anything from receiving order data, transforming and sending the orders to POS systems, handling stock(inventory) functionality(marking items in and out of stock), to services that receive large menu payloads from individual partners which are then transformed into the menus you see live on SkipTheDishes today.

What's On Your Plate:
The Senior GoLang Engineering role plays a critical part in connecting Restaurants with the Just Eat Takeaway platform. We are looking for engineers to take our integration platform to the next level whilst maintaining core functionality on which thousands of our partners depend.

As part of this varied role, we're also counting on you to:

• Build new features in our core language, GoLang
• Make key architectural decisions and help move the platform forward
• Support product and delivery teams
• Mentor and coach other team members

Recipe for Success:

• 5 years of commercial GoLang experience
• Microservice / Event Driven Design - An understanding of the complexities with event driven design and how to best approach them, ie eventual consistency, transactions within a distributed system
• A great communicator - We're looking for someone who is comfortable explaining the technical to the non-technical, and "working out loud", or WOL'ing as we like to call it
• SRE - Strong focus on maintaining and improving production services
• Previous experience working in an international company is a plus
