- Applying knowledge of event-driven architecture to create and maintain technology at the back end of a website (the server, database and application)
- Managing the retrieval and processing of event driven/database processes
- Analyzing data to identify possible improvements in efficiency or performance.
- Reviewing software code written by other developers to identify bugs and errors.
- Designing and developing new applications by translating user requirements into code that can be read by a computer.
- Leveraging, adapting and deploying Rest APIs
- Building containers using Docker Kubernetes
- Collaborate with the rest of the technical team to ensure applications align with the organization’s goals, as well as customer needs
- Remain current on technology trends to keep our software as innovative as possible
- Ability to program in at least one of the following (Java, C++, Python, SQL, C#, node.js, GOLang, springboot, struts)
- Understanding of core programming principles, including systems design
- Exposure to web services, API, and multiple Java application frameworks highly desired
- Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, technology-based consulting environment, using agile development techniques
- Strong communication skills
- Awareness of key software development life cycles (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, etc)
- Some coursework in computer science, information systems, or other related fields
- Completed an internship or has relevant work experience with a proven track record
