SENIOR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER/SRE

Cititec has partnered with one of the top Proprietary Trading companies, whose company is driven by a creative and entrepreneurial culture. An experienced Site Reliability Engineer is needed to join their expanding IT team in Amsterdam.

As Senior Site Reliability Engineer you will work with a self-service Cloud Platform, which enables the technology teams to use and manage their cloud resources themselves, including compute instances, Kubernetes clusters, and Kafka clusters.

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Computing Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years working as a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or Cloud Engineer
  • Experience in working with GCP or AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes
  • Programming/Scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python, Bash, Ruby, or Golang
  • At least 2 years of practical experience with Terraform
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux
  • Experience applying CI & CD concepts.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and multicast

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in both AWS and GCP
  • Design, implement, and maintain Kafka environments, both in the cloud and on-premises.
  • Improve the self-service Cloud Platform's usability, scalability, availability, and effectiveness.
