Spiral Scout RnD is a team of professionals, which is working on the creation of own open source products under the leadership and ownership of Spiral Scout CТO (Anton Titov).

Our current portfolio of product development software contains open source tools that were originally designed to solve real web development problems among our clients. As more and more developers around the world adopt them, however, to create, integrate, and extend their own software applications, it's clear that they are addressing a much bigger need.

We work on our own products into a separate division - Research and Development department - and help other developers around the worlds to solve different tasks, increasing our own skills and expertise.

We are looking for a Senior PHP/Golang Developer to work in the RnD team.

What You Will Do:

Support and maitenance of existing open-source company product: RoadRunner PHP application server written on GoLang:

• Bugfixing and resolving existing problems;
• Working with the external community, support and communication in GitHub, Discord and Telegram channels, including analysis and solving of problem cases.

Development and support other open-source company products written on PHP - Spiral Framework, Cycle ORM and Temporal.io PHP SDK:

• Implementation of new functionality at the request of the internal customer and external community, as well as according to the approved product roadmap;
• Development of new features and resolving existing problems.

What We'd Like To See:

• Experience in developing high-perfomance server applications on Golang and PHP;
• A good understanding of OOP, design patterns and architecture;
• Knowledge in Golang and ecosystem;
• Solid experience with PHP language and the main existing frameworks: Symfony, Laravel etc.

Hard skills:

• PHP Symfony/Laravel - 2-3 years experience;
• Golang - min 1 year experience;
• DB (SQL, query builders, ORM) + query optimization;
• gRPC;
• Async tasks synchronisation;
• HTTP protocol;
• API and communication protocols (JSON, etc);
• Work with queue broker;
• Linux + Docker (compose);
• DDD;
• Patterns;
• Git;
• Good written English (B2+ both written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Working with open source products;
• Using your own best practices and similar experience is encouraged;
• Active participation in open-source community.
