Who we're looking for

The Platform team builds and operates systems to that operate all of PeerIQ's products and customer modules. The team architects and develops services that support applications for originators, asset managers, warehouse lenders, bank and credit unions. These include custom portfolio analysis, cashflow projections, credit facility management, loan pool transaction facilitation and more. The team is responsible to creating experiences to our customers that are intuitive and genuine.

As a software engineering on the team you will contribute to the full spectrum of our systems, from managing application level design patterns, to running, operating and orchestrating platform services. As such, you will play a key role in orchestrating and contributing to our platform and other product solutions, while maintaining a high level of quality. The ideal candidate will have worked in software engineering roles, preferably at a fintech or an investment bank and will have a basic understanding of consumer credit, lending and other related securitized products.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and test features and fixes for our SaaS data analytics platform
  • Experience with both front end and back end JavaScript and Typescript
  • Production-level experience working with front end UI frameworks such as React, and state management systems like Redux
  • At least 5 years of experience building and deploying distributed applications
  • Understanding of tradeoffs between various development paradigms, such as object-oriented and functional programming
  • A solid understanding of REST, HTTP, and contract-based APIs
  • Comfortable with back end scripting languages such as Python
  • A solid foundation in Computer Science, such as BS/MS or significant industry experience
  • Strong opinions that are loosely held. You move quickly with an idea but can pivot when presented with new information
  • Comfortable diving into source code you haven't written to debug problems, whether it's first or third party source code
  • You like to take ownership and mentor by example
  • You enjoy "going under the hood" of the technologies you use daily
