Development

Our engineering team works Go lang for our backend services. We integrate with various Merchant Platforms, Payment Service providers and Card Networks on a day to day basis. Software Engineers at Skipify must be able to provide an analytical mind with a focus on solving unique problems. This person must bring an expert level knowledge of multiple programming languages. Engineers are expected to understand the AGILE development process and to attend and follow a sprint cadence for delivering rapid code and reporting progress efficiently and regularly. We are looking for a test-driven development mindset, and Engineers must expect their code to be fully tested for fun.

Role

• Optimize 1-Touch shopping experience for E-Commerce channels.
• Work with our design and product team to create brand new customer experiences for channels and checkout.
• Research, evaluate, and implement architectural improvements and new technologies.
• Monitor and analyze technical operations and continually optimize for improved performance.
• Manage project work flow through final delivery.
• Work closely with our technology partners to resolve complex issues efficiently
• Work together as a team to implement various third party integrations.

You

• BS/MS Degree or Coding boot camp
• 5+ years of industry experience / 4+ years of Go language experience
• Strong proficiency in Go language and development tools / frameworks
• High comfort level with Git
• Hands on experience in either GCP/GKE (Cloud Pub-Sub, Cloud Storage) stack or AWS/Azure
• Effective knowledge of using SQL/NoSQL
• Excellent technical design/documentation
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• A self starter with proven track record of coaching and mentoring other team members
• Experience developing highly resilient and scalable distributed systems using microservices

"Wow" effect:

• Written restful APIs
• Previous E-Commerce, Background in FinTech/Payment or affiliate Marketing experience a plus
• Sound knowledge Golang
• Strong knowledge of GCP/GKE stack or AWS
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts)
• Basic understanding of Javscript and NodeJS
