Cloud Analytics - Member of Technical Staff

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced, high-performing technical leader / developer to join a team, developing hybrid cloud-based data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience building an “Observability Platform” for Kubernetes cloud native infrastructure and workload monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Research, propose, and implement analytics capabilities for Kubernetes cloud native infrastructure
  • Lead architecture and technical implementation for analytics.
  • Technically mentor and help develop a team of highly skilled DevOps analytics engineers.
  • Interface with architects, product managers, developers, and customer-facing teams
  • Drive team skills by providing leadership in good software engineering patterns, DevOps, and MLops practices.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development process using agile methodologies

Qualifications/Skills:

  • BSc or higher degree (Computer Science, Computer/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree)
  • 7+ years working in software development
  • 3+ years driving cloud native software projects with focus on high availability, scale, and performance criteria.
  • Product development experience in a higher-level language, e.g., Python, Golang, Javascript
  • Hands-On technical experience with:
  • Kubernetes / Docker, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, OpenTelemetry
  • Elastic (ELK) Stack: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats
  • Cloud-Native observability and analysis technologies and open standards
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative cross-functional environments
  • Experience with evaluating open-source components and emerging technologies, making recommendations on best practices.
  • Architectural experience: ensuring scale, extensibility, security, performance, reliability, and usability.
