We develop #HeyMercedes from the development headquarters in Sindelfingen together with our hubs in Silicon Valley, Berlin and Beijing. In doing so, we design probably the most direct, emotional interface between our customers and the Mercedes-Benz brand.
In the Speech Technology team, we are responsible for the development of new cloud-driven language domains (such as smart home, entertainment, knowledge...), central platforms enablers, data analytics and dialog research.
As a member of the team, you will work with exceptional software developers, data and research scientists, and UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems around #HeyMercedes.
You will learn a variety of cutting-edge technologies and development processes around voice assistants and develop comprehensive skills such as leadership, communication, software design and effective project management.

Your tasks in detail


  • Development and implementation of micro services, speech "skills" and APIs in Azure in our agile, international scrum team
  • DevOps control, safeguarding cloud stack and micro service stability as well as managing CICD pipeline
  • Conception of system architectures
  • Development of prototypes
  • Close coordination with Speech Cloud/Content Providers and Software Project Partners (e.g. concept teams)
  • Identification and coordination of cross-divisional dependencies and requirements, including data protection, product liability, Mercedes Me Connect
  • Execution of test runs and analysis of errors including driving bug fixes
  • Supporting the rollout of responsible services in the various markets

Qualifikationen

Professional qualifications:


  • Completed studies in computer science, computer linguistics, information/communication technology, software development.
  • Several years of experience in software development with agile methods with cloud technology stack.
  • Proven strong experience in at least one relevant programming language: Java/Springboot or GoLang.
  • Further experience in Python, NodeJS, Azure DevOps desired but not mandatory.
  • Experience and passion in the field of Speech Applications / Voice Assistants / Natural Language Processing is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as independent structured and targeted working mode.
