We are looking for an IT Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration, management, and extension of our on-prem infrastructure
  • Become responsible for OT Services within given scope, including data acquisition and storage in the OT area
  • Process of 3rd level inquiries and fault reports and coordinate suppliers and other parties involved if necessary
  • Create root cause analyses for failures and malfunctions of the SCADA/OT and IT infrastructure, solving issues and develop detailed technical solution proposals
  • Create capacity analysis/planning for our virtualized environment
  • Monitor various systems performance and coordinate the measures to ensure functionality (updates, upgrades, replacements)
  • Document and maintain processes, best practices, and knowledge base
  • Implement best practice security measures such as hardening, ACL and firewalls
  • Create well-structured, maintainable tooling to support the IT/OT department
  • Manage or participate in various assigned projects as needed
  • Develop and implement sophisticated solutions for our IT/OT landscape
  • Provide technical support to our offshore technicians especially in the Scada/OT area
  • Work according to ITIL and in compliance with ISMS and ISO 27001
  • Management of our GitHub repository
  • Vendor management and communication within your scope
  • Assistance with additional ad hoc tasks as required by the team
Qualifications and experience:
  • Degree in Information Technology from University, Technical School, or comparable with several years of work experience
  • Profound knowledge and several years of experience in the field of system and network administration
  • Advanced understanding of network topologies (routing, switching), WAN/LAN, VPN and wireless communication
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of software projects in Golang or another programming language and GitHub repositories
  • Working knowledge of Grafana solutions
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix environments
  • Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring
  • Experience with network devices from HPE/3COM, CISCO and Watchguard is desirable
  • Experience with the ITIL framework is desirable
  • Strong cyber security awareness
  • Ability to analyse and realize demands from the business departments
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as work independently with minimal supervision
  • High level of commitment and reliability
  • Very good communication skills (verbal and written) in German and English
