About the Role:

The customer platform team is looking for a DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for building systems that will simplify the process of adding new users to our platform. In this role, you will work with multiple internal teams to contribute to our software platform, focusing on automating service deployments and improving observability and instrumentation. Your work will be highly visible and will directly impact the ability of customers to get faster access to our unprecedented datasets as well as streamline the internal processes for adding new customers to our platform. The ideal candidate would have DevOps experience and could hit the ground running by contributing to in-progress projects.

Impact You'll Own:

  • Fortifying our deployment pipeline & production service monitoring & tracing capabilities
  • Integration of internal and 3rd party services into our products
  • Automation of user account creation and provisioning
  • Building new services and features to support our growing user base
  • Helping to define, instrument and analyze usage metrics to drive customer growth
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
  • Helping to establish technical best practices
  • Participating in team on-call rotation to support production services

What You Bring:

  • Expertise with DevOps - Kubernetes, Docker, GCP
  • Designing and evolving backend systems and public-facing APIs
  • Curiosity, Innovation, Collaboration
  • Passion for improving developer velocity
  • Experience scaling and maintaining production systems
  • Track record of mentorship and growing other engineers
  • 6+ years industry experience

  • Experience with GoLang, Python/Flask, PostGreSQL, React & Material UI or related technologies
  • Experience with geospatial technologies and data
