With your expertise you will be...
... able to build and refine: metrics, logging, monitoring, and alerting for our orchestration platform to enable proactive (and increasingly automated) issue identification, prevention, and remediation. This serves to improve the performance, availability and security of our platform
...building and mentoring the distributed team members in engineering and architecture topics
...supporting and owning the continuous development of key IT platforms
...getting actively involved current initiatives, develop and drive new concepts, evaluate possible (open source) tools for Automation Integration and/or support other departments in the evaluation process.
...integrating into existing and new orchestration and automation interfaces form IT Infrastructure Platforms and Business processes
...building the foundation for the AIOps for the Service Insights Product Area by further developing our platform
...promoting and advertising your extraordinary ideas to our partners and customers
...advocating on the topic of Process Orchestration

About Service Insights Centre

The mission of the Service Insights Centre is hugely ambitions – we want to provide autonomous IT Operations capabilities (e.g. with machine learning and AI) to recognize and resolve complex issues faster and with greater accuracy than humans can today, providing monitoring and predictive insights about how all IT services are meeting current and will meet future service level objectives (stability, availability, security, etc.).

About the Orchestration Squad

We are a globally distributed squad, and we are passionate about technology. Our squad helps Swiss Re to digitize and optimize processes by providing a reliable and fast cloud-native orchestration platform.
With the orchestration platform Business and IT units can run their processes/workflows in order to reduce manual effort and ensure consistency in their daily work life.

About You

... excellent problem solving skills, ability to break down and explain sophisticated concepts, and strong attention to detail.
... an outgoing and integrative personality, likes to discuss and promote their ideas.
... coding skills, where strong experience in Java is preferred, and experience in Golang would be a plus.
... experience on system orchestration/infrastructure automation, with exposure on topics such as (open)API definitions, GraphQL, and Web Service topics for XML, YAML and JSON.
... experience of security engineering, computer/network security, authentication and security protocols used when systems are being integrated.
... experience with distributed computing systems and/or cloud infrastructures such as Kubernetes and Azure, with a focus on creating systems failure tolerant systems.
... skills in database and data modelling, such as relational and NoSQL databases.

The platform our team operates is based on the open source Camunda Cloud (formerly known as Zeebe) technology, and hence knowledge of this technology, as well of BPMN 2.0, would be a plus.
