Senior DevOps Engineer Authentication

Your Mission

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help us to design, develop and operate a highly scalable identity provider solution. Providing a smooth SSO experience is our slogan. More than 200k external users distributed across the entire globe are using our authentication mechanisms. Developing 3rd-party integrations is part of the daily business as well as optimising user management workflows. As part of the enabling technologies department, we are responsible for a strong and reliable foundation of all our services.

This position will give you the opportunity to drive small to midsize projects, right from the concept phase all the way through to production deployment and operations.

Your Qualifications

A successful candidate will bring 4+ years of experience in a similar position to the table with a proven record in developing and operating scalable authentication solutions. Optimising the SSO solution is part of the job as well as improving stability and reliability. Experience with modern cloud environments and how to deploy software there is a big plus.

Additional Qualifications:

  • ETH, university, or FH degree in Computer Science or similar educational level
  • Experience with container orchestration and automation in cloud architectures and on edge systems (Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Experience with modern observability principles, stacks and tools like Prometheus / Thanos, Alert manager, Grafana
  • Experience with modern authentication mechanisms and protocols (OAuth2, SAML, OIDC)

  • Experience in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS), clean software architecture and test driven development (TDD)

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Product experience with Auth0, Keycloak, Okta or Zitadel
  • Experience in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Knowledgeable in different database technologies (SQL, time series, NoSQL)
  • Networking and the major Internet protocols (TCP/IP, IPsec, SSL, SSH, SMTP, HTTPS, DNS)
  • Practical knowledge of modern programming languages (Java, Golang)
