The internship assignment

You will be working alongside a Senior Test Engineer to deliver software features for new manufacturing test equipment development, and equipment already deployed on manufacturing lines. Our team develops test machinery to validate functionality of all battery systems (battery cells, modules and packs, power electronics, LV & HV systems) & Supercharging products built by Tesla. As an intern, you will get the opportunity to work on the overlap between software & hardware, developing state of the art technology for test manufacturing systems.


Learning goals & Tasks

  • Learning how to develop software applications in an industry setting
  • Developing the ability to follow standards for development, validation & mass deployment of software
  • Get exposure to troubleshooting hardware in a manufacturing line
  • Learning how to balance workload with tight delivery timelines


Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Preferably studying in a relevant field like Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Competency in system level programing languages (C, C++, Rust and especially Golang...)
  • Familiarity with git version control
  • Exposure to Linux Operating Systems is considered as a plus
  • Some exposure to hardware setup & troubleshooting (Microcontrollers, Power Supplies, DMMs,...)
  • Problem Solver oriented
